About FP Diesel

Founded in 1983 by Laurie Fischer and Graham Pope, Fischer Pope Diesel serviced and rebuilt diesel engines and transmissions.

Andrew Webby & Fiona Schroeder purchased the business in February 2014. Andrew leads the sales & strategic direction of the company together with Josh Whiley who runs the workshop.

Throughout the years we have developed our business strategies and moved from not only diesel engine and powershift transmission rebuilding, machinery and truck servicing repairs, to specializing in a growing need of hydraulic diagnosis, repair and testing.

The company has a real focus on getting our customers back up and running in a timely fashion. By utilising our in house pump tester we can perform HP/QP performance testing and ensure pumps are performing to factory specifications.

We continue to carry out heavy earthmoving service work, which is still a major part of our business, with field service, and on occasion this leads us out of New Zealand and up into the Pacific Islands.

We pride ourselves supplying parts throughout NZ, Pacific Islands and areas within SE Asia and Australia.

Our Team

We have over 100 years of combined experience within the industry. To add to this, we are regularly called upon from around the country and beyond, to supply information or to help diagnose hydraulic faults and problems across an assortment of machinery.

Our technicians have regular in-house hydraulic training covering: identifying faults, circuit diagrams, rebuilding component parts and above all, understanding the complex electro-hydraulics systems of today's machinery.
